Current State Assessments and Program Evaluations
  • Conducted a national needs study, on behalf of Health Canada, on prostate and ovarian cancer.

  • Conducted survey studies, on behalf of Health Canada, of attitudes and practices of family physicians, oncologists, gynecologists, complementary health practitioners and others, related to issues identified as relevant to patient/survivors.

  • Engaged by Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation to evaluate efficacy of their psychosocial program.

  • Selected by National Cancer Institute of Canada to evaluate impact of research-based theatre.

Culture Change Activities
  • Engaged by the Ontario Breast Cancer Information Exchange Project to produce A Guide to Unconventional Cancer Therapies, for distribution by the Canadian Cancer Society and others.

  • Invited to join the senior leadership team and helped organize the inaugural National Forum on Breast Cancer, sponsored by Health Canada.

  • Engaged by the Canadian Cancer Society to deliver a series of talks promoting awareness of men’s health issues.

  • Engaged by Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre to develop a patient/survivor support and advocacy network and to train volunteers, patients/survivors on effective participation in hospital committees.

Business Case Development and Grant Writing
  • Secured $1.8M funding for a 5-year research project from the Board of the Ontario Breast Cancer Community Research Initiative.

  • Secured funding from multiple organizations and corporations to support the development of a research-based theatre program performing across Canada.
